MENDOCINO SCHOOLS GARDEN PROJECT
project description








Mendocino Unified School District is located in rural Northern California, 150 miles up the coast from San Francisco.  The district covers 450 square miles of seashore, forests, mountains and meadows, servicing 7 school sites with 900 students K-12.  In 2001-2002 the California State Department of Education awarded Mendocino Unified School District with a Garden-
Enhanced Nutrition Education Grant which made this project possible.
